EcoMT implements IoT technology at Alliance Healthcare in Viladecans

EcoMT integrates IoT and artificial intelligence technology in the new headquarters and logistics centre of Alliance Healthcare in the Ca n’Alemany industrial estate in Viladecans- Barcelona.

The building, inaugurated in October 2021, has a total of 35,000 m² and it is an example of circular construction, positive for the ecosystem, the economy and the people, which makes it a healthy space with a high economic, social and ecologic value.

The project, developed by Instra Ingenieros, who have also been in charge of construction management and LEED certification consulting, has achieved the international LEED Gold certification for sustainable building.

Cutting-edge technology for sustainable construction

This new operating centre has implemented state-of-the-art IoT and artificial intelligence technology with one goal: to improve energy efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions and take care of the well-being of the people who work in it.

EcoMT has designed and supplied all the hardware, sensors and software equipment to implement a BMS (Building Management System) in the new headquarters and logistics centre of Alliance Healthcare. This system is capable of monitoring and controlling the main parameters of the building’s behaviour that affect the comfort of the people who use it or on the demand of energy and water.

OTEA algorithms are responsible for digitizing the operation and maintenance of the facilities to be able to manage remotely even the smallest detail. From the constant monitoring of energy demand, CO₂ levels in each space or thermo-hygrometric comfort, to the ability to turn off lighting systems or managing light intensity for each space based on occupancy.

The implementation of this BMS and the OTEA algorithms have been determining factors in achieving the international LEED Gold certification for sustainable building.
