The energy control system for refrigerated logistics facilities

A refrigerated logistics facility consumes energy 24 hours a day, whether or not solar production is available at that moment. If the chillers always run the same way, you waste the solar energy you’re already generating and buy energy you don’t need. This isn’t just an energy problem, it’s a synchronization problem.

For example, at midday with the sun at its peak, the facility could run almost entirely off-grid, but if no one adjusts the chillers in real time, that solar surplus is lost anyway. With an algorithm that cross-references solar production, electrical demand, and water temperature, each chiller adjusts its own setpoint minute by minute. The difference isn’t having solar panels, it’s using them at the exact right moment.

That’s why at EcoMT we integrate every chiller, air handling unit, and solar circuit into a single BMS connected to OTEA, which monitors hundreds of variables and remotely controls the ones needed to adjust consumption without anyone having to operate it manually.

That’s syncing your facility with your own energy, and it means consuming almost zero grid power during sunlight hours, reducing spending when there’s none, and lowering your emissions without changing your operations.
