It’s an open EMOS platform that combines IoT, energy and big data. It lets you connect infrastructures and supervise, operate and manage large volumes of data and assets at scale from a single place.  

It’s used to centralize the information of all assets, support the management of utilities (water, gas and electricity), enable remote control and reduce consumption. Its main goal is to ensure the correct operation of facilities, optimize energy performance and support decision-making based on objective data.

The CSC is the support service associated with OTEA that gives the client a specialized team for the surveillance and monitoring of their facilities. Depending on the contracted plan, it can include centralized monitoring and control through OTEA Center, incident assistance, alert configuration and support on how the platform works.

It can supervise supermarkets, logistics warehouses, retail stores, offices, hotels, service stations, buildings or different environments such as industrial facilities. Within them, it integrates systems like HVAC, lighting, industrial refrigeration, ovens, tanks, alarms, access control, batteries, inverters and electric-car chargers.

It also allows action. Through the Support and Control Center you can control machines remotely and launch maintenance tasks. In addition, by creating alarms and events, you can automate processes and schedule automatic actions to change operating values when anomalies or consumption peaks are detected. 

You can view hundreds of variables broken down by machine and area, in real time or historical. These include: water and gas consumption, active and reactive energy, power factor, active and reactive power, electrical frequency, currents, voltages, cycle times and the status of specific subsystems such as cold rooms or refrigerated display cases.

It helps reduce costs by lowering energy consumption through the early detection of overconsumption and anomalies. It optimizes the energy performance of spaces with tools based on and developed with AI, prevents product waste in sectors such as food and personalizes saving strategies to avoid operational inefficiencies.

It brings the ability to optimize maintenance tasks remotely, avoiding trips and protecting facilities against breakdowns through the use of AI-based tools. It also makes it easier to manage anomalies early, sending automatic notifications and alerts in real time when consumption peaks or deviations from the established setpoints are recorded.

Yes, it’s especially useful for multi-site environments. It lets you integrate and centralize the data of all dispersed assets in a single platform, regardless of their geographic location. It has tools like the “Megaboards”, designed specifically to compare and visualize the variables of different facilities simultaneously. 

To connect one or more facilities to OTEA, each facility must have communicable equipment or systems, an internet connection and an active OTEA license. From there, EcoMT configures the deployment, the variables and the modules needed so the client can monitor, manage and analyze their facilities from a single platform.

OTEA doesn’t necessarily replace a BMS: it complements it. While the BMS acts on the building’s systems, OTEA collects, organizes and analyzes the facilities’ information to help the client make better energy, operational and maintenance decisions.
